Is saveset splitting possible?
Good evening all,
i have a 8-nodes hyper-v cluster.
My backup job pointing to cluster virtual name works without any particular problem with 130VM.
Due to the duration of the job (more than 12 hours), i'd like to split saveset in smaller NMs groups and use different schedulation/policy.
Which is the best solution (if any) to achieve this goal?
Thank you

@RobBertucci, You can breakup the instances at VM level so that you can group a set of VM's on one client instance and assign that to a workflow to be started at certain time of the day. Make sure you share the VM's based on the size so that one group does not end up with large VM's causing that workflow to run for longer.

Thank you crazyrov.
Actually i have only one hyper-v defined client, which is the logical cluster-name, and all physical cluster nodes nodes configured as dummy clients, as done by the configuration wizard.
Cluster-name client configuration allows me to select VMs, but i can select all of them or a reduced number. I cannot organize them in groups.
Obviously, it is not possible to have multiple copies of hyper-v client, each of them with a different VMs selection.
Is there anything i am missing?
Thank you again

You can create multiple instances of the Hyper-V cluster in NetWorker. You can distribute the VM's amount these instances assigning them to different protection group.
