As long as you have an intact mm, res and index(optional) you can have the NetWorker server running smoothly. It does not matter if you are getting this data from Storage replication, bootstap backup, copy and paste or from an VM image. In short, what you are trying to do should work. Make sure to keep NetWorker services running only on one NetWorker server at a time in-case you have 2 NetWorker server on the same environment with the same hostname.

In case the DD devices for the other DD is already configured(assuming you did a clone on this DD). Then no changes on the DD configuration is required else yes you have to create devices for this other DD.
For, vProxy if using something that is not already configured in the existing NetWorker server then yes you have to register these after the NetWorker db and config files have been restored and once the application is up.
Basically, any resource that is not present on the existing resource database has to be used then it needs to be added/configured for it to work together.
