gstd NSR warning 85 Unable to get token for service account of NMC server from authentication service.
I have Networker version 9.2.1 in my environment and Networker server is also the NMC server. When I try to login using my admin account in Networker. I get the following error on the login page:
An error occurred while validating user credentials. Verify the Networker Authentication Service is running. An error occurred as a result of an SSL protocol failure. For example, failure to verify server/CA certificate during the handshake.
On checking the gstd.raw log file I get multiple similar kind of logs.
Logs:
gstd NSR warning 85 Unable to get token for service account of NMC server from authentication service. %s 1 0 215 An error occurred as a result of an SSL protocol failure. For example, failure to verify server/CA certificate during the handshake. Server Message : Make sure that server is running.
I have tried restarting the NMC server and also the authc service but no luck. Kindly help.

You will most likely find the answer in the NW "Security Configuration Guide". It seems as if you need to recreate the NMC service account. The key text reads as follows:
"To recreate the NMC service account, perform the following steps:
1. Log in to the NMC server as a Console Security Administrator. The NetWorkerAuthentication Service administrator account is a Console Security Administrator.
2. On the NMC Console window, click Setup.
3. On the Setup window, from the Setup menu, select Configure Service Account.
4. Click OK."
Good luck

Thanks @bingo.1 for your response.
The issue is I am not able to login with any user in NMC. In fact, when I deliberately enters wrong username and password it still gives the same error.

Please consult Dell/EMC support to get this fixed.
It would be nice if you share your experience later.
