Exited with exit code: Unknown, completion severity: DEBUG(0), completion status: unexpectedly exited(2)

When does the error occur?

  -  Does a file backup work at all?

  -  Does it quit when it hits the Exchange database?

If the first applies, there is something generic wrong (like client service not started) but I guess the backup runs for a while.

Check whether this applied to a specific file and/or directory and exclude it for verification purposes.

It might also be an issue which is related to the network. So check the appropriate log files.

I am having the same issue on my Linux server. I am getting "Exited with exit code: Unknown, completion severity: INFORMATION(10), completion status: unexpectedly exited(2)"

When I try to get the full log. I am getting "File not found: Unable to expand path. No such directory.

There could be many reasons:

  -  lost hostname resolution

  -  network issues

  -  nsrexecd died

  -  file/directory not found due to whatever reason

The current (NW 19.x) versions create very good log files for the whole process and every single step. You will find the full path within the text.

If you cannot find any further advice, let me suggest you increase the debug level.

i have the same error, but if i check Media-save set, the backup is done, browsable, normal size.

how could i find out the reason of this error, and get rid of it?
