Deleting savesets on Data Domain (or not..)
All,
I am trying to remove expired savesets on my Data Domain that have been generated by Networker 8.2.1.3
Some of them are successfully being deleted but some are coming up with "Permission Denied" errors.
Example:
I did read that it may be to do with a retention lock in the DD settings but I've checked and they are not enabled.
Any ideas?
Regards
Colin

Never seen that one before... it sounds more like permission issue, but fact that NW itself after nsrim is not able to remove files already indicates something is off so you better have it checked by support. Most likely they will ask you to ssh to the box and from engineering mode they will inspect files and permissions applied (those numbers you see are long ssids so it is easy to cross-check them against NetWorker's mdb).

I can see you are trying to delete it from a ADV_Type file device, is the device accessible from NetWorker server as in, is the user which was used for adding ADV_TYPE device still active and enabled. It could be because of the user not being able to access the device folder itself that it not allowing you to perform delete operation.
