dedicated backup network configuration
hello,
I'm new on networker and I would try to have a dedicated backup network
we have windows server for the networker server.
the vproxy on vmware infra is deployed.
at this time we have configured vnic0 on the backup network and no config for vnic1
Is it possible to configure vnic0 for backup and vnic1 for management.
if yes i need register the vmware proxy on the networker server with wich IP?
how to do the backup trafic on nic0
the esx and networker server need to have a network connection on this network or only the proxy and the datadomain for target?
sorry for the questions
regards

so if I undertand
we just take an esx kernel on the DD network and vnic0 on the vproxy on the same network and all traffic will be redirect on this network

You of course could do this but in general I do not see a real necessity to install a separate network. Especially for the NVP solution, the ESX servers will directly communicate with the DD.
Separate backup networks are rare these days. I would not make it more complicated than necessary.

Correct. This is possible.
