Datadomain VTL for IBM-i and Retention lock
Hi DD Expert,
Please need your advice and guidance on how to configure retention lock for VTL that being used for IBM-i BRMS backup.
Please need your advice if this general workflow is correct:
1. Enable mtree retention lock
2. Configure virtual tape retention lock.
3. Configure BRMS backup policy with retention lock enable.
Guys, please need your help and guidance.
Any detailed procedure is much appreciated.

not using VTL (anymore) but maybe that https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/en-us/000079803/data-domain-retention-lock-frequently-asked-questions-faq?lang=en gives some additional guidance?
"The Virtual Tape Library (VTL) protocol is only supported against MTrees using retention lock governance mode. Automatic retention lock is not supported on Data Domain VTL. See the Data Domain Administration Guide to determine how to unlock retention-locked tapes such that they can be written to."
