WB7022 defaulting to 90 degree view every time I startup or connect my laptop

I am using a UD22 to connect my m1 Macbook to a WB7022 webcam. I am using the DDPM software the control the webcam.

I have one problem that causes a lot of headache: every time I connect my computer using usb c to the dock, or if I restart my computer the webcam defaults to 90 degree view instead of the 65 degree that I have set up. The way to solve the problem is to press the ddpm icon at the top of the screen. As soon as I have clicked the icon the webcam goes over to 65 degree mode. Its as if the ddpm software does not start properly unless I press the icon. Please advice on a solution!
