U4924DW, flickering, Apple Studio 2022 M1 Ultra
Dell U4924DW
I am periodically experiencing flickering and ghosting and pixelation on my U4924DW monitor that is roughly 7 months old. I'm running this on an Apple Studio 2022 M1 Ultra on Sequoia 15.0.1. I've reseated cables and such but that has not changed this. It seems to simply start flickering at random times, then stops after power off back on or reboot or other actions. Thoughts?

I have a solution for this very transient issue - The problem always seems to occur when i access a particular Web site. It seemed without fail, i would get vertical lines and/or eventually flickering till it wasn't usable. The fix is to essentially disable temporal dithering with an applet.
Download https://github.com/aiaf/Stillcolor
And disable temporal dithering.
I have not had the problem since.

Dell needs to first verify the ownership and warranty status. Click the blue "Get Help Now" on the right to start a private live chat session. Share the private U4924DW Service Tag with them.
If available, test the U4924DW and its provided 1 M USB-C to USB-C cable on a Windows OS PC. Do you have the same flicker issue? If not, the you have narrowed down the troubleshooting to the Apple Studio.
If second PC is not available, using the provided 1 M USB-C to USB-C cable, test Apple Studio all six Thunderbolt 4 ports.
Also post the question on the Apple Forum to get their troubleshooting opinions.

@DELL-Cares i've not had this occur in several days. so it's transient at best.
