U4025QW, USB hub issues
Dell U4025QW
U4025QW in USB KVM mode. TB4 connected to MacBook M1 Pro. DP + USB-C connected to PC. USB hub connected to daisy chain USB-C / TB4 port. Also tried USB hub connected to regular USB-A port.
If connected to the daisy chain port: USB hub devices only work on Mac (TB4).
If connected to a USB-A port: USB hub devices only work on PC (USB-C).
Some users are likely to want to use a USB hub device, as wiring can result in high clutter. Port count can be insufficient in some cases, such as in mine. I had no issues with U4021QW with this configuration.

Interesting, I have exactly the same problem regarding the hub, or let’s say pretty close to yours.
i’m able to connect an external hub to one of the usb a ports, but then the host machine (tb) only sees two more ports. All other devises that are connected to the hub are ignored. I use an active hub, so it couldn’t be a power issue.
This only applies to the machine that is connected via the TB port (Mac m4). The other Mac (studio m1) which is connected via DP + usb sees all connected devices.
I wonder if that’s a software problem (fixable via an update) or if it’s an hardware limitation or even worse a defective unit.
I would love to hear some feedback from the support team, my monitor is only 4 weeks old at the time of writing.
My connections are:
"margin: 0;">
mac m1: displayport + usb-c (sees all devices connected to the hub)
mbp m4: thunderbolt only (sees only 2 devices connected to the hub)
things I tried:
- connect the hub to each machine directly to confirm it works, worked
- tried several cable combinations to confirm there is no defective cable
- I tried 3 different usb hub models to confirm it’s not a broken single unit

same problem here, USB Anker 3.0 hub doesn't work off the Dell monitor... very strange

I'm having a very similar issue here. The MacBook Pro (M2 Max) is connected via the provided Thunderbolt 4 cable. The monitor and ports all work as they should but when I connect a powered external USB Hub, nothing plugged into the hub reads/ mounts.
After checking for any loose connections, I tried a separate Thunderbolt 3 cable, and the hub, with all its peripheries, worked.
I got onto the support team and they eventually sent me a replacement Thunderbolt 4 cable but that had the exact same issue as the original, ruling out a faulty cable being the issue.
Support hasn't offered any resolution despite going back and forth since the 24th January so I'm not really sure what else to try as they're both supposedly active Thunderbolt cables.

Has anyone tried using the monitor downstream from a hub that can do 5K output? This is super annoying... if I had one less USB device I would be fine....

I got my 4025 today and am seeing the same behavior on the latest firmware. Did someone figure out a solution for this?
