U4025QW, speaker volume reduced
Why was this post never answered? I just installed the latest drivers and now the max volume that the monitor's internal speakers had before has been greatly reduced. What's going on?

To receive assistance from Dell support agents, they need to first verify the ownership and warranty status. Click the blue "Get Help Now" on the right to start a private live chat session. Share the private U4025QW Service Tag with them and the results of the troubleshooting below.
We did reply to that user but they never replied back to us.
What specific drivers did you install to cause the issue?
What PC model and operating system?
How is the U4025QW connected to the PC using which cables and ports on both?
Are you matching the volume % in both the Windows OS and the U4025QW Menu- Audio- Volume?

I had the latest version of DDM2 installed.
I discovered DDPM and installed it.
Then the problem showed up: Volume of the U4025QW monitor was greatly reduced.
The computer is a Lenovo gaming laptop that is 4-5 years old and running Windows 10 Pro perfectly, except for this monitor issue.
The monitor is connected via a Thunderbolt 3 connection on the laptop to the Thunderbolt 4 connection on the monitor. I also have the Lenovo power cord/connector plugged into the laptop. I am not trying to use power from the Thunderbolt connection because it is not supported in Thunderbolt 3 and my laptop doesn't support that configuration.
I have checked the volume settings in the Windows sound section, the Nvidia audio settings, the volume control panel and anywhere else that sound configuration could be an issue.

I updated to DDPM and the sound volume of the speakers on my monitor have been greatly reduced. I have checked and rechecked all of the Window 10 settings for audio and the Nvidia audio settings as well.
Monitor: U4025QW
Service Tag: can I put that on here for public consumption?
Computer: Lenovo gaming laptop about 4-5 years old. (can provide model info if needed)
Connections: Thunderbolt 3 port connected to monitor's Thunderbolt 4 port.
Power cable connected to laptop and the other end is plugged into a power strip. Note: I am NOT powering the laptop via the Thunderbolt cable but through the Lenovo power cable.
I tried playing music on Amazon Music Unlimited using their app as well as in Windows Edge web browser. Same results in both. This was working perfectly under the older version of DDM2.

Why not uninstall DDPM and reinstall the working DDM 2.x?

What a novel idea! I will. But just so you know, I like many others, don't care for software that doesn't work as advertised and uses customers as beta testers. I have never owned a Dell computer although I have worked with them at various jobs. The experience I have here will determine if I ever buy another Dell product for my personal use. The monitor I'm using cost around $1,500. I expect better for that price. Thanks.
