U4025QW, MacBook Pro Max 1, OWC dock, which port to use?

1) I connected U4025QW monitor to my MacBook Pro Max 1 16" (using TB4 as in Port 6 in the U4025QW Users Guide) to the back of an OWC 96 watt dock. The MBP is connected with a TB4 to the front of the dock to a USB-C port.

2) I also have the option to connect HDMI from the monitor to an HDMI port on the MBP. Which of the above would give a better performance?
