U4025QW, Audio line-out

Hi,

I've tried to connect external speakers to my Dell Ultrawide 40 (U4025QW) monitor with the Audio Line out port. However, I can't seem to forward the audio signal to the speakers from the monitor? The monitor speakers themselves works just fine.

I'm running on Windows 11 and the monitor is connected to my laptop via ThunderBolt.
Firmware is: M3T103

I did not have this issue on my previous monitor which was a Dell Ultrawide 34. A difference I've noted was on the old monitor I had the option to specify external speakers on the monitor settings. This setting I can't seem to find for the Ultrawide 40 monitor.

Anybody knows how I can resolve this issue?

The U4025QW Menu- Audio is only for the built-in speakers. When using external speakers in Audio line-out port, U4025QW Menu- Audio- Speaker, change it to Off.

The audio going into the U4025QW and out of the Audio line-out is controlled by the PC sound system. Example, right click the Speaker icon on the Windows 11 taskbar, go to Sound settings. In, "Choose where to play sound", what do you see? Post a picture.

@DELL-Chris M

Setting "Menu - Audio - Speaker" to OFF did the trick.

I can't seem to find anything about using external speakers in the manual. Maybe it should be updated with a sentence about external speakers ? :)

Anyways, thanks for the help!

Which ports can I use to connect external speakers? Does only the AUX output work, or do the USB or HDMI ports also work?
