U3425WE, Mac-M4, Can't change volume of Audio with Audio symbol in Mac menu bar
Hello,
I have a new Mac mini M4 with Sequoia 15.4
After fresh install of the Mac I installed Dell Display Manager Version 2.0.0.0018
The Monitor ist connected with the Thunderbolt-Cable which was part of the monitor.
The audio on the monitor works.
But I am not able to change the volume with the Standard Mac Audio-"App" in the Menu bar. The slider for the volume is grayed out.
Best regards,
Christian

If the volume in that Standard Mac Audio-"App" worked in the prior version of macOS DDPM, then uninstall V2.0.0.0018. Reinstall V2.0.0.0015.

Hello,
I made the downgrade to version V2.0.0.0015. But the slider is still grayed out.
Best regards,
Christian

Wait, are you saying the slider has always been grayed out while using the U3425WE?
Or, was the slider working BEFORE you did the fresh install of the macOS Sequoia 15.4?

Hello,
the slider was never active.
I also checked it with my „old“ Mac M1. There it also doesn’t work.
But I think it should - or?
Best regards,
Christian

Post the question on the Apple Forum to get their opinions. The FAQ Dell monitor and Apple has two links discussing volume control.
