U3425WE, goes sleep when no motion around
Hi,
Just got my Dell Ultrasharp U3425WE set up today. Great monitor, but dims and goes to sleep if I go away from the desk after 20 seconds.
I tried all the possible options settings in my Windows 11 and in the monitor OSD menu. Read manual and tons of different troubleshooting articles.
Looks like there is some kind of sensor, because when I sit beside monitor and do something (not touching mouse or keyboard) it doesn't dim or go to sleep.
Any help with that?

Dell Support must verify the ownership and warranty status. Click the blue "Get Help Now" on the right to start a private live chat session. Share the private U3425WE Service Tag with them.
Dimming could be the built-in Ambient Light Sensor.
* Go into the Menu OSD
* Go to Others
* Run Factory Reset (page 81)
* Go back to Brightness/Contrast
* Make sure it using these default factory settings (page 65)

I contacted Dell service today, but eventually I found that it is Lenovo intelligent user presence sensing on my laptop. Basically disabling this function leads to solution.
Thanks for support anyway!
Have a great day!

Hello Chris,
Thank you for the reply!
I've done as you said. Unfortunately, the issue still persist. ALthough, I noticed that Dell monitor dims and goes to sleep only when the laptop lid is open. When I close the laptop lid and work on the external Dell monitor only, it follows power settings in Windows 11.
Do you have any idea how to fix it?

No. Interesting that the issue only shows when lid is open. That leads to wonder if there are different Control Panel power/sleep options for lid open?
