U2725QE, DDPM 2.0.0.72, No Device Detected
Dell UltraSharp 27 4K Thunderbolt Hub Monitor U2725QE
I'm using the newly released Dell U2725QE hub monitor (upgraded from an U2723QE). On the old monitor, the hub worked fine and the Dell Display Manager (DDM) software (latest version 2.3.2.23 and prior versions) worked on both the desktop (Win11) and work laptop (Win10).
Now with the new monitor DDM won't work (even the Feb 2025 update) -- I receive an error message the U2725QE is unsupported with DDM and one is required to use the newly released Dell Display and Peripheral Manager (DDPM) software.
Dell Display and Peripheral Manager now recognizes the monitor on the desktop (Win 11), but I receive the now widely reported "No Device Detected" error when trying to add the U2735QE monitor to the DDPM on the laptop (Win 10).
Not happy paying a premium for a hub montior where the hub feature does't work (unless you manually do a switch using the hardware buttons on the back of the monitor).
Dell -- you need to fast track an update to the Dell Display and Peripheral Manager (current verion is 2.0.0.72) software that will work with the U2725QE on Win10.
Alternatively -- given how widely users are reporting various problems with the buggy DDPM on this forum -- please release an interim update to DDM that supports the U2725QE. I can let others be the alpha/beta testers of DDPM and wait for the bugs to be ironed out before I switch back to DDPM when DDM goes EOL.
Thank you.

Our Display lab tested DDPM 2.0.0.72 on U2725QE using a Latitude 5320 Windows 10 and Latitude 7450 Windows 11. DDPM 2.0.0.72 on both Latitude correctly identified the U2725QE.
Latitude 5320 AC power connected to left side rear TB4 port
Latitude 5320 left side middle TB4 port --> U2725QE 1m TB4 to TB4 cable --> U2725QE #7 TB4 upstream port
Latitude 7450 AC power connected to left side rear TB4 port
Latitude 7450 left side middle TB4 port --> U2725QE 1m TB4 to TB4 cable --> U2725QE #7 TB4 upstream port
Did you connect like this in your testing?
ThinkPad AC power connected to left side rear TB4 port
ThinkPad left side middle TB4 port --> U2725QE 1m TB4 to TB4 cable --> U2725QE #7 TB4 upstream port

Using a TB4 cable connected to the USB-C port that is labelled for DisplayPort (monitor, keyboard, mouse work fine -- DDPM though doesn't detect monitor).
Looking at Control Panel and list of installed programs on laptop (Win 10), I see DDPM installed as did "Dell Peripheral Core" when DDPM was installed. But not "Dell Core Services". On the desktop (a Dell XPS 8950 Win 11 machine) -- Dell Core Services was also installed when I installed DDPM.

Wait, "Using a TB4 cable"? Are you using the provided U2725QE 1m TB4 to TB4 cable? Correct, to #7 =
Other Windows 10 users will need to post and tell us if Dell Core Services installed or not. Conjecture, perhaps Dell Core Services was only needed in Windows 11.

Laptop is connected on #7 using a "Cable Matters 40Gbps Right Angle Thunderbolt 4 Cable - 2.6ft with 8K Video, 240W Charging - Compatible with USB 4, Thunderbolt 3 and USB-C"

We you need you to test using the cable provided by the monitor manufacturer.

Done -- no change.
Switched to TB4 to TB4 cable that was supplied with the monitor (Dell U2725QE) and DDPM on Win10 laptop still does not detect the monitor.

* Open the U2725QE Main Menu
* Go to Others
* Run Factory Reset
* Verify DDC/CI is On
* Exit the U2725QE Main Menu and retest

Done, verified, no change.
Power cycled both monitor and laptop, retested, no change.
One thing I noticed, in DDPM on desktop when I go to Settings, Updates, the day/time the last check was performed is displayed.
On the same screen on the laptop, no equivalent day/time stamp is displayed and, when I click on "Check for updates", nothing appears to happen. No day/time information or message "There are no available updates at this time" (which is shown on desktop) is displayed on laptop.
Could be related to "Dell Core Services" not being installed on laptop when DDPM was installed.

All you can do at this point is uninstall DDPM. I am surprised that the old DDM will not work at all on the U2725QE. Others were able to uninstall DDPM and go back, so strange. All of these DDPM issue threads have been sent up the chain.

If an interim update to DDM was released adding the U2725QE to its list of supported devices, that would be superb. Thank you for your assistance and responsiveness -- it matters and is appreciated.
