U2724DE, two PC usage

Dell U2724DE

Dell U2724DE

I have two laptops connected to my Dell U2724DE in a daisy chain. One through thunderbolt (PC 1) and one through DP+USBC-USBA (PC 2) (both run windows btw)
The one inconvenience I'm facing, is that when the two are connected and I'm using one of them, let's say PC 1, in this time PC 2 is still connected to the monitor and the laptop's screen is still extended but since the Dell monitor is being used by PC 1, PC 2 has no idea that the monitor is busy and still consider it connected.
Is there anything I can do from the U2724DE configuration?

Thank you.

Let's backup. By our definition, daisy chain means using two Dell monitors connected to each other using the USB-C or DP out port on first monitor to DP in port on second monitor, then connecting to one PC.

You are not using this. You have two PC connected to one Dell monitor using not connected video in ports. Those two PC are not connected to each other so not a daisy chain.

Since both PC are on and connected to the Dell monitor, you cannot stop the monitor from still talking to PC2 because PC2 is on and connected.

@DELL-Chris M

Right I think I misinterpreted, I'm using multi input, but choosing one source in the monitor, so you're saying that the other source will still be active in the background and no way to pause that connection?

no way to pause that connection?
* Other than disconnecting the video cable from that PC2 to the monitor, no.
