U2723QE, using Ethernet and Power over USB-C on without Video?

I bought a Dell Ultrasharp U2723QE. When I connect my laptop via USB-C (90W Upstream-Port), I only want to use the charging function with 90w and the Ethernet without video function. Unfortunately, only the charging function works, but not the Ethernet function. Ethernet only works if I also “switch through” the video signal via usb-c. Is it possible to set the monitor so that the charging function and Ethernet can also be used without a video signal?
