U2723QE, USB-C Thunderbolt upsteam port annoyances with MacBook connected but using DisplayPort on PC
I have my MacBook connected to the USB-C Thunderbolt upstream port and PC connected to the DisplayPort + USB-C downstream port. Whenever I switch active display to the DisplayPort, the screen on my MacBook is still extended so I can’t see certain app windows unless the window is already on the laptop screen.
Is there a way to not extend the display on USB-C when using DisplayPort and just have it still charge? My LG monitor was able to do this when not using USB-C port for active display.
Also, when using DisplayPort, unplugging the MacBook from the USB-C upstream port will auto switch the display to USB-C while I’m still using my PC and I have to switch it back. Can they fix this so simply unplugging a laptop would not switch the active display port?

Do you mean the U2725QE as in your other threads? If yes;
Is there a way to not extend the display on USB-C when using DisplayPort and just have it still charge?
* No. The #7 Thunderbolt 4 upstream port always send/receives Video, Data, and power delivery.
Also, when using DisplayPort, unplugging the MacBook from the USB-C upstream port will auto switch the display to USB-C.
* You could try testing this to see if it makes a difference.
Open Menu --> Input Source
Auto Select = Off
Option for Thunderbolt = Off
Option for DP/HDMI = Off
