U2723QE, passthrough 5.1 digital audio?

Hi, does the audio passthrough support digital signal? For example, if I connect the audio signal to my 5.1 audio system, it will recognize the audio digital audio main source (my PC). What I want to know is, if I send the HDMI from my PC to these monitors (I use two monitors), and then send only the audio from the monitor audio output to my audio multichannel receiver (hometheater), will the 5.1 digital audio be available. Or the monitor audio passthrough is just a regular right and left audio?
