U2723QE, not working with Samsung S23, USB-C
On my Dell 24" and lower resolution and lower power displays, I can connect perfectly my Samsung s23 ultra phone via USBC connection (60W charging port). It works in all combinations of settings and USBC cables that I try instantly.
However on the much more expensive, 90W, 4k resolution ultrasharp U2723QE monitor it doesn't work.
Tested: all permutations of power cycling both devices, cables, changing the charging settings on the monitor(all combinations) and changing resolution on the phone. (all of these combinations work in the lower tier monitor, none work in the U2723QE)
Also a search on Google shows it doesn't seem to work on anyone in the expensive monitor only on the lower tier Dell monitors just like me.
The S23 ultra says it is connected to display but the monitor says no usbc signal found. Exactly the same setup and cable only the monitor is the more expensive Dell one.
Has anyone been able to connect their S23 to the U2723QE monitor? Is there a way to raise this to the monitor's technical team?

Update, a solution: I added my own docking station, connected to the monitor by USBC - it works on my desktop but still did not on the phone(same cables different device so something about s23 doesn't work with usbc). Also tried rebooting, still didn't work. Next I kept the same setup but added the displayport cable that comes with the monitor and switched input to DP from usbc 90W - it still didn't work but after rebooting the phone it finally it worked - and no longer needs rebooting the phone(seems like direct USBC connection to s23 causes some issues that require rebooting - I think related to high data transfer switching to high video - but I no longer connect directly by USBC for video as it has never worked not even once). I also have mouse and keyboard working. Defeats the purpose of the on monitor usbc docking but at least it works.
(Btw the funny thing is... the phone is connected to the docking port by USBC to USBC! Indicating that the issue is with the monitor not with the phone and not with cables.)
But this fixes the issue perfectly for me, so this ticket can be closed..

To receive assistance from Dell support agents they need to first verify the ownership and warranty status. Click the blue "Get Help Now" on the right to start a private live chat session. Share the private U2723QE Service Tag with them.
Per the online U2723QE User's Guide pages 12 and 13, to what numbered port are you connecting the phone?
Are you using the provided U2723QE 1M/3.2FT USB-C to USB-C cable?

Am using port #5 which is the only powered usbc port(on the low tier 24" Dell display where it works it is the same, the powered port, powercsymbol and DP symbol, is the only one that supports video and works perfectly with the same cable on the 24" Dell but never on 27'). Yes using the cable that came with the display (works with lower tier display). The phone charges and works as a mouse and says it is connected to monitor, but monitor says no usbc signal.
Something about U2723QE, whether it be the higher 4k resolution or the aspect ratio, or the higher power charging, those are the only differences to the low tier 24" Dell displays... If you are able to log it anywhere, as it seems to be a common issue in a Google search.
Ok, I will try to contact support.

Btw I suspect it is related to this issue:
https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/en-ca/000188006/the-display-usb-hub-cannot-work-properly-after-lane-switch-from-high-data-speed-to-high-resolution
Because it appears that when s23 phone is plugged in even once then the monitor needs to be power cycled for other usbc devices to be detected. Maybe the phone cycles between high data and high resolution. Oddly no issue with the 24" Dell displays only the 27" 4k Ultrasharp Dell maybe because 24" has lower resolution that it is not affected. One person mentioned that when Daisy chained 24" with 27" U2723QE as primary, only the secondary 24" one displays something so no issue with signal, something about the U2723QE most likely resolution. Anyway hopefully there will be a firmware update to fix the above issue and maybe that will fix my issue too.

I have exactly the same issue, when I connect my S23 Ultra, the U2723QE hub screen displays this message "No USB-C signal from your device". The S23 Ultra signals a connection. The U2723QE works fine with my Galaxy Tab S7 FE via USB-C.
