U2722D, black screen no OSD menu

The monitor was working fine the day before, but when I tried to turn it on in the morning, the screen was black. There was no video, even though the panel backlight was on. Also, the menus were not visible. I followed the steps described in the forums, but they did not solve the problem:

  1. Unplug ALL monitor cables (USB/HDMI/DP) from the monitor while the monitor is plugged into power and the white light is on.
  2. Then, unplug the power cable from the monitor.
  3. Press all the physical buttons on the monitor while it is unplugged and off and wait 30 seconds.
  4. Plug power cable back in.
  5. Turn monitor on and then plug your USB cable and one video cable back in.

What else can I try?

Tests were conducted with different HDMI cables and different computers, but the screen remained black.

* Go HERE. Insert the private Dell monitor Service Tag number to check the current warranty status. What is the status?

Press all the physical buttons on the monitor while it is unplugged
* When every cable is disconnected, you only press and hold in the Power On/Off button for 8 seconds

I tried this too, but unfortunately it didn't work!

Another thing I noticed is that when I plug in the HDMI cable, some of the pixels on the screen glow white in a line pattern, and then the screen goes black again.

Hi @DELL-Chris M ,

I don't know about the warranty period.

But can you tell me what might have caused the situation in this video?

Experiencing something like this out of the blue, regardless of the warranty, does not give a good impression in terms of customer satisfaction. We use dozens of your monitors at our company.

Does this indicate that the panel is dead? Or is it a software issue?

* Unknown as to why internal monitor components sometimes fail.
