U2720Q, MacBook Pro M1 Pro, DDPM v2.1.0.0016, not launching properly on macOS 15.5

I recently updated to the latest macOS version of Dell Display and Peripheral Manager (DDPM), version 2.1.0.0016. Unfortunately, the app fails to launch properly on my system.

Environment:

  • MacBook Pro (M1 Pro)

  • macOS 15.5

  • Dell U2720Q Monitor

  • DDPM v2.1.0.0016

Issue:

When I open the app for the first time, it requests Accessibility permission. After granting it, the dialog disappears, but clicking the icon again does nothing — the app does not open or respond in any way.

I’ve already tried restarting the system, but it didn’t help.

Eventually, I had to roll back to the previous version of DDPM, which works fine.

Has anyone else encountered this issue with v2.1.0.0016? Any suggestions or fixes would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Is that U2720Q still under warranty? Go HERE. Insert the private U2720Q Service Tag to check.

Unknown as to why the issue happens. Did this issue appear on any of the previous versions of macOS Sequoia 15.0/15.1/15.4?

Go back to the previous macOS DDPM version to test to see if it works or not.

* Uninstall DDPM V2.1.0.0016
* Restart the MacBook
* Install DDPM V2.0.0.0018
* Restart the MacBook
