U2719DC, firmware update utility M3T106 won't finish

Hi,

I have two U2719DC monitors connected USB-C to USB-C to my Mac laptop running macOS Monterey (12.2.1).

The first monitor has the option to enable USB-A charging when the monitor is in standby. The second monitor does not have that option. Firmware M3T106 claims to support USB-C charging when the power is off. But I hope that means it also supports USB-A charging in standby. My second U2719DC has M3T103. I downloaded the M3T106 installer for my Mac, but I can't make it run.

I successfully unpacked the package

DELL_U2719DC_MonitorFirmwareUpdateUtility_M3T106.pkg

but, I can't make the firmware update program

MonitorFirmwareUpdateUtility_U2719DC

that it installed run. The window for the update utility flashes on the screen for a split second, and then the application quits. Any ideas?

Also, I noticed that my first U2719DC claims to have firmware version M3T207.  But, the latest firmware available to download seems to be M3T106. Is there a way I can download the M3T207 firmware?

Thanks,

Marc

What the the 20 digit serial numbers and A0x revision for both U2719DC? I can tell from the order dates that they are 9 months apart, so the numbers and A0x revision will differ.

U2719DC with M3T203 = 20 digit serial number and A0x, ordered March 29, 2019 - shipped April 2, 2019

U2719DC with M3T207 = 20 digit serial number and A0x, ordered December 6, 2019 - shipped January 10, 2020

M3T107 is only installed at the factory. It is not available to download. We only uploaded M3T106.

Only one monitor can be connected to a PC when running the firmware update.

If USB Type-A charging when DC is off mode was added, the firmware Fixes & Enhancements would have stated it.
