U2520D, dual, no more audio
Recently, the audio device on both my U2520D is no longer recognized by Windows 11. There was no change on the setup: first Monitor is connected via USB-C downstream to the laptop (thinkpad E16), and the second monitor is daisy-chained via DP from the first one. This has worked for many month now.

Dell Support must verify the ownership and warranty status. Click the blue "Get Help Now" on the right to start a private live chat session. Share the private U2520D Service Tags with them.
The U2520D doesn't have internal speakers nor does it have Audio in its Menu. So assuming that you have powered external speakers plugged into the 1st primary U2520D Audio line-out port?
* Turn the Laptop off
* Disconnect every cable (including the power cable) from both U2520D
* Press the U2520D power buttons in for 8 seconds (clears any residual power in the circuits)
* Reconnect cabling
* Turn both U2520D on
* Turn the Laptop on
