U2414H to HP Elitebook 6930P
I have a problem connecting my new U2414H from my laptop hp elitebook 6930p with VGA output. I have tried with a cable VGA to HDMI and later, after the advice from Dell online support I bought a new cable VGA-DP and it was not possible neither. Please could you tell me if it is possible with any kind of cable/adapter? thank you very much

A computer VGA port cannot upconvert to the HDMI/DP/mDP ports using a straight cable.
The cable you bought is for computer DP out to monitor VGA in.
The other cable is for computer HDMI out to monitor VGA in.
Computer VGA out to monitor HDMI in is only possible using an "active converter". Purchase this Monoprice computer VGA out to monitor HDMI in active converter.
Computer VGA out --> VGA to VGA cable --> Monoprice VGA in/Monoprice HDMI out --> HDMI to HDMI cable --> Monitor HDMI in
