U2413, native ICC profile used in Standard preset?

<You replied to a 12 year old thread. Started your own thread. DELL-Admin>

@orb1060

... I believe the native ICC profile corresponds to the color space used in the monitor's "Standard" preset...

Can someone from Dell please confirm this?

Standard, Custom color (without modifiying saturation-hue), Color Temperature use native gamut.
All three are uncalibrated: native white, native TRC that may be ~2.2 but may have channel inbalance.

Driver/Native ICC stores D65, 2.2 or sRGB TRC and native gamut. Since typical ICC color managed apps do not care about WP, and IF we assume not so bad native TRC (no channel inbalance, no color tint on greys vs white), you can use that profile in all those tree(actually 2 + 6) OSD modes.
But keep in mind that all these OSD modes are uncalibrated! By chance they may meet your needs.

@yumichan Thank you so much for your thorough reply! This is very informative. I have the Dell u4025qw and aw3423dwf, and Dell Display Manager 2 has an option to automatically apply one of the ICC profiles that's been made available after installing the driver. I have this option turned on and as I change the OSD/monitor color preset modes, an ICC profile is loaded. I use the "Standard" preset for both monitors. For the u4025qw the ICC profile that has the word "native" in its name is loaded for "Standard", and for the aw3423dwf the only ICC profile that came with the monitor is loaded (doesn't have "native" in its name but says "D65"). I won't be calibrating my monitor for the foreseeable future, so I guess my choice is to use these ICC profiles that came with the driver OR don't use any profile at all. It seems a lot of people suggest not using any profile for the aw3423dwf. Not sure about the u4025qw.

Open profile, plot its gamut boundaries and you'll see. Several apps. Anyway almost certain that manufacturer ICC file bundled with monitor driver is native gamut.
