SX2210, stuck in black screen

Hello. I have an old Dell SX2210 that I use as a 2nd monitor hooked up to a Wacom PC through a usb c hub via HDMI. It’s been working flawlessly until a few days ago.

First, the screen on the SX2210 started flickering and then would go on working normally. That went on for 2-3 days. Unplugging and then plugging again the HDMI seemed to solve the issue at first. Then the issue would come back until the screen went black but the power light would still be on (white).

I first replaced the usb c hub with no effect. Then I tried unplugging all cables from the monitor and pressing the power button for 8 seconds as advised on some forums. No matter what else I tried (unplugging, turning on and off, switching cables, hooking to another computer) I got a split second signal on the monitor showing the desktop and then going black again.

My computer still detects the 2nd monitor but I just can’t see anything. I can’t access the OSD menu either so I can’t perform a factory reset.

Is the monitor dead? Please advise.
