SE2425HG, true 8 bit or 6 bit+FRC?

Dell in both sales specifications and the monitor User's Guide has never listed the panel bit. The User's Guide mentions;

Screen type = Active matrix-TFT LCD
Panel technology = IPS (In-Plane Switching)
Color depth = 16.7 million colors

16.7 million colors = 8-bit but it does not spell out 8-bit or 6-bit + FRC

Even 3rd party sites DisplaySpecifications only state the generic 8-bit.

In theory, you could find a 3rd party monitor software that could identify the specific panel. Then do a search on the panel manufacturer site.
