S3422DWG, Latitude 5431, WD22TB4, HDMI resolution

I having the same issue running S3422DWG at 3440x1440 via HDMI port with following configuration:

Latitude 5431 USB 3.2 Gen 1 with PowerShare port -> WD22TB4 ->S3422DWG HDMI 2.0 cable  -> S3422DWG HDMI in port.

If I bypass the WD22TB4 and plugged the HDMI cable to Latitude 5431 right side HDMI out port then everything works fine (3440x1440 at 99.98Hz)

Is it a WD22TB4 limitation?

Dell Support must verify the ownership and warranty status. Click the blue "Get Help Now" on the right to start a private live chat session. Share the private S3422DWG Service Tag with them.

We never heard back from that older thread. But based on your testing, it seems the fault does lie with the WD22TB4. When connected to the dock, open the Menu- Others- Display Info. Copy that data. Now remove the dock  and connect directly via HDMI to HDMI and open the Menu- Others- Display Info. Copy that and compare the two. What are the differences?
