S3225QS, stand height adjustment jammed/locked
The S3225QS stand height adjustment is locked at the maximum height. The adjustment is supposed to be done by gripping the left and right edges of the monitor and gently pulling it down or up. Even a ridiculous/scary forcing of the monitor with this instruction does nothing. There must be a button or recess to press to unlock it? But I can find nothing like this and Google searches bring up nothing?

OK - managed to find out how to deal with this. Pulling steadily downwards on the monitor by holding the edges of both sides as recommended, even with great pressure, did absolutely nothing. I was scared to pull even harder. Maybe it was because of it being a brand new unit.
Any way, this is how I did it:
1. I removed the monitor so that the large square bracket on the top of the bracket was exposed. Start with the stand in the normal vertical position.
2. Then, holding the vertical arm with one hand, I gave the bracket a sharp firm tap downwards with the edge of the other hand on the top of the bracket - like a sort of Karate chop. This immediately freed the slider. It slid down an inch or two then sprang back up.
After that it would slide smoothly and freely up and down. Of course it would always spring back up because it need the weight of the monitor to keep it down to the height you would want. So just refit the monitor so its weight holds the monitor at the height you want.
Now, so far all is good.
Good luck!!
