S3220DGF, 120Hz not working

Hello, i bought this monitor a while back and didnt have anything to really use its features. I recently upgraded to a better console that supports 1440p at 120hz. Found out that the verison of monitor I have is a defective unit. Even though the box says it supports it. The monitor does not as its a firmware issue. Can someone help me to figure out what i need to do to get a replacement for it to get what i paid for?

Dell Support must verify the ownership and warranty status. Click the blue "Get Help Now" on the right to start a private live chat session. Share the private S3220DGF Service Tag with them.

You may also enter the private S3220DGF Service Tag HERE to see the purchased warranty dates.

Connect the S3220DGF to a Windows operating system PC. Then test. Can you get 2560x1440 120Hz on either HDMI or DP?

@DELL-Chris M thank you for replying! I bought monitor from best buy about 4 years ago warranty is out.  Its been connected to a regular PS4 so I was not aware of the situation. Upgraded my sons system to a PS5 and thats when I found out about the firmware issue. Monitor has been good, no problems whatsoever. Just was not aware this one had an issue of not allowing 1440p with 120hz.

What is non-private 20 digit serial number on rear label? Do you have a Windows PC there to test on?

Read through these threads.

Serial to monitor is:

CN-ODHONY-TV100-04G-OHZV-A01

Manufactured date of April 2020.

i have a Windows laptop (basic work laptop) But not high end enough to do 120hz. Ive tried everything that I could do research on many threads and forums to get it to work. Even followed PS5’s instructions.

Ok. My apologies for wasting your time with the troubleshooting. There is nothing you or Dell can do because the warranty has expired. The EDID allowing 120Hz was not installed on the S3220DGF until after June 2, 2020.
