S2725QS, dual, weird washed out image running in 120Hz (and other issues)

I just bought these two monitors from Amazon a couple of days ago.  Since then, twice I've found one of the monitors looks like the one on the right. I believe I've seen it happen on both monitors, but never both at the same time.

To fix it I only need to power off the monitor using the button, wait a second and power it back on, which isn't a huge inconvenience.  But, if this is a sign a faulty monitor, I'd like to address it now while they are brand new.

For the record, there is a kvm setting between the monitors and PC which supports 4k@120.  My cables all say they ae at least 4k@120.

I'm using the HDMI cables that came with the monitors to go from them to the kvm.  Between the kvm and my PC I have two high speed (8k) hdmi to displayport cables (hdmi at the kvm and displayport at video card).

Video card is rtx 3060ti if that facts in.

Other weirdness I've noticed:

At least once one of the monitors refused to be 3840x2160 if running at 120hz. It would do it in 60hz but not 120hz.  Rebooting didn't fix it. I fixed it by unplugging the hdmi-to-displayport cables at the kvm and plugging them back in.
