S2725H, makes a pop sound whenever a silence occurs

A brand new Dell S2725H bought a few days ago makes a pop sound whenever a silence occurs. In other words, whether I am selecting a folder, getting a beep from message box, playing a game, watching a video, listening to music, whenever a sound stops or pauses for a second, I can clearly hear a pop!

The sound is similar to those you can hear when turning on and off an amplifier, except the volume does not affect it. To be completely sure, I did try with three different computers (Dell, Lenovo, Asus), with different cables (HDMI, DP to HDMI, DVI to HDMI) and the behavior is all the same.

I found some posts on internet reporting similar issues with Dell monitors with no solutions, so I wonder is it possible that this is a normal thing for Dell, accepted by most users, or there are some solutions that I could not find. The trouble here is that I could return the monitor to my dealer and ask for another one, but I am afraid it might behave the same, as it is not my impression this is something of any significant interest to many people, especially not to Dell.

Any advices?

Dell Support must verify the ownership and warranty status. Click the blue "Get Help Now" on the right to start a private live chat session. Share the private S2725H Service Tag with them.

Post a video of the issue. The recording device should be 3 foot/1 meter from the face of the panel.

Thanks, Chris, I did contact support as you suggested.

But now I have more problems than before. :) The support cannot hear the pops I am talking about. Am I the only one who can hears this?

Please someone, anyone who bumps on this thread, please listen to this video and count the clicks/pops/anything, how many of separate sounds you can hear? Adjust the volume high so you hear anything!

And this is not real Dell Support, this is just a bunch of people that are being able to assist only in the most basic scenarios. My bad, of course, it says in the links, on the pages - COMMUNITY, and nothing else.

So, Chris, your suggestion was not of any use. I would be more happy to see some real people experiences with Dell monitors and the sound issues they might have, than spending time with Dell Social Media team, yes social, not expert team.

To complete this topic - no solution. The Dell Support stalled for days, not a single useful idea or advice was offered. What they did offer was monitor replacement (to make a customer happy, I guess), but without any research of the issue, without any guarantee that the problem is not "by design" and that the new monitor will not have the same fault. However, the replacement was also an empty promise, they delayed the conversation beyond any reason, my window for returning it back to the store was closing, I had to finally give up and return it.
