S2722QC, USB-A downstream not recognizing 64GB USB stick

Hi,

My laptop is connected through the USB-C to the monitor and the both USB-A downstream ports are working properly when a keyboard or a mouse is connected, but they don't recognize a USB storage device.

I tried following advice from the article but it didn't help. Monitor firmware version: M3B201

S2722DC and S2722QC Monitor Downstream USB Ports are Nonfunctional

That article purpose was to show users how to "enable" the USB-A ports in the Windows OS PC. Your usage of the USB-C to USB-C cable enabled the USB-A ports. If a USB-A mouse or USB-A keyboard always work in S2722QC USB-A ports 7 and 9, then the ports are functioning.

What specific USB-A storage device?
Does it require an external power cable?
The S2722QC USB-A ports only deliver 4.50 W.

@DELL-Chris M Just a regular USB stick (Patriot Rage Supersonic 64GB), not an external hard drive. I tried a couple and none of them are recognized. They work fine connected directly to the laptop, so the sticks are not broken.

Hopefully another S2722QC user can post their findings of USB-A storage sticks.

Go HERE. Insert the private S2722QC Service Tag. What is the purchased warranty status?

@DELL-Chris M It's out of warranty. :/

If someone else could post their experiences with USB sticks, that would be great.
