Replacement monitor, same problem exists

So frustrating as I'm doing graphic work and its touch going on the laptop. So what's the solution?

What the heck! Actually fixed it myself by swapping out the new bon.elk port for my laptop Mac port that I had lent to my granddaughter - Voila! the monitor is working as it should: takeaway lesson - use Mac accessories in the first instance. Massively relieved it's working, but equally relieved for not having to use Dell Support again, ever I hope.

Dell GHN (Get Help Now) chat technical support must verify the ownership and warranty status of both the Laptop and Monitor. Click the blue "Get Help Now" on the right to start a private live chat session. Share the private Service Tags with them. Once verified still in warranty, they will troubleshoot with you.

I have tried to work with Dell Bots to find a solution, but 75% of the time, the steps to verify and duplicate the issues still yield no solution. This is incredibly frustrating, given that it's a new Dell monitor and a new port hub, but the monitor is losing signal intermittently nonetheless.

@user_a1688c​ For our notes, what was the Dell monitor model? What Mac model? Is that bon.elk some sort of USB-C dock?

I've repeatedly given these details to multiple Dell support bots so don't come at me now to sort yourself a rationale. Having been in an already heightened level of frustration for weeks, the last thing anyone needs is a complex system to seek fundamental support.
