PC HDMI, black monitor
I plugged my new monitor into my new pc via HDMI and my monitor is just black no picture. but it lets me choose the settings through the joystick.

What model desktop, and if it has a discrete GPU, did you plug the cable directly into the card (not to a port on the mainboard)?

@ejn63 it is a buy power pc and I did input the cable into the card and not the mohterboard.

Our users need to know which specific Dell monitor model and the specifications (ports), operating system, etc. on the PC.
