P3223QE, Ethernet port turns off when monitor is turned off
Hi all,
This is my first time posting here.
I recently purchased a Dell P3223QE monitor specifically for its integrated USB-C hub with an Ethernet port. I've noticed that the Ethernet connection drops when I turn the monitor off. While I understand this behavior to some extent, I would prefer the hub to continue passing the Ethernet signal even when it's turned off.
I suspect this is a design choice and not a setting I can change in the monitor's menu (I haven't found it at least).
<Correct. This is working as designed. DELL-Admin>
Since power can still pass (as an option) through the USB ports when the monitor is off, I was hoping the same could apply to the Ethernet port.
Any thoughts?
Thank you in advance.

Leave the monitor power on standby.

@Chino de Oro Thank you. Sure, that's an option of course. I have this habit of turning off most of the devices I use at home when not using them. I know, the stand-by modes use ridiculously low amounts of energy, but I can't control this urge ;)
