P2424HEB, Webcam has stopped working
Hi all,
I recently received a replacement P2424HEB monitor because of webcam issues with the previous one.
This new one was working fine for2 weeks, but has since stopped working as of yesterday.
Whereas with the previous monitor, Windows 11 wouldn't recognise the monitor's integrated webcam at all (even in Device Manager). With the current one, however, the webcam is recognised (in Device Manager), but just shows a black screen. It is the same in video conferencing apps and the Windows Camera app itself., showing just a black screen.
The light on the camera is on, so it definitely detects a signal.
I didn't move, drop, shake or anything else like that and it has seemingly occurred out of nowhere.
Perhaps this has been triggered by some Windows update or background firmware update, but I wouldn't know how to diagnose it.
Appreciate any help!
Thanks,
N

* Rotate the Webcam shutter clockwise to close the shutter
* Rotate the Webcam shutter counterclockwise to open the shutter
* Open the Menu- Others
* Run Factory Reset
* Go to Audio & Webcam
- Webcam & Presence Sensor should be Enable
* Exit the Menu and retest

For how long, I don't know, but o managed to get it working again.. By... Switching the monitor off/on (via the power button).
If it keeps happening, I'll do as you suggested and run another factory reset.
But yeah, for now, simply repowering it did the trick!
