P2424HEB, integrated webcam not working on Windows 11
I am having issues with my integrated webcam on my new P2424HEB monitor (UK). Sometimes, my laptop (Dell Latitude 5320 running Win 11 Pro - 10.0.26100) randomly recognises the webcam, but 9/10 it fails to recognise it at all.
My "Dell Firmware Updater" (and "Dell Peripheral Manager") apps suggest that the monitor is on M2T101 firmware, but every time I try to update to M2T104, it fails at the 50% mark.
I can see a thread related exactly to this problem from January 2025 (https://www.dell.com/community/en/conversations/monitors/p3424web-webcam-doesnt-work-anymore/678903bcac33606af9ce0aa6?commentId=679a55ce769fa40bc2460b00), and I can see a couple of helpful responses there, however, I cannot see any of the affected Windows updates (KB5050009, KB5050021, or KB5049981), so I don't know what to uninstall (it might be because I only just reinstalled a fresh Win 11 on the machine in early-Feb).. My Windows Updates are otherwise all up-to-date, according to Windows itself.
FYI: My P2424HEB is connected to my Dell Latitude 5320 via USB-C.
Any help would be appreciated, before I lose my sanity and the will to live :D!
Thanks,
Z

Dell Support must verify the ownership and warranty status. Click the blue "Get Help Now" on the right to start a private live chat session. Share the private P2424HEB Service Tag with them.
* Open the P2424HEB Menu OSD
* Go to Others
* Run Factory Reset
* Go back to Audio & Webcam
* Make sure Webcam & Presence Sensor is set to Enable
* Exit the Menu OSD
* Go to the P2424HEB Drivers & Downloads page
* Download/Save M2T104 firmware to your Windows desktop
* Run the firmware from the downloaded file

Hi - what is the "Menu OSD"?
Also, what about the Dell drivers and software I installed, directly from the Dell product page?
Do I need to manually remove all of it?

Menu OSD = Main Menu. On Screen Display
* Open the P2424HEB User's Guide
* Go to Index page 4
* See = Operating the monitor --> Using the Main Menu
I would not remove any of the softwae/drivers installed from the product page until you attempt my previous instructions.

Hi @DELL-Chris M - thank you so much! That actually worked! I now have M2T104 f/w running successfully and I can confirm that this has solved the webcam issue!
Thanks a million!

Confirming. Doing these steps below allowed the M2T104 firmware to install successfully =
* Open the P2424HEB Menu OSD
* Go to Others
* Run Factory Reset
* Go back to Audio & Webcam
* Make sure Webcam & Presence Sensor is set to Enable
* Exit the Menu OSD
