P2217H, display settings are not supported, change to 1920x1080

My HP Elite desk computer was working just fine and then one day it just stopped working. when I went to go play games, it won’t even let me login or anything. you can’t show anything with my PC was doing so I tried troubleshooting it at home but then that didn’t work. so I plugged my computer into my TV and it seem to work and I switched it over to 1920x1080 and it switched over on the computer. but then when I tried again on the monitor it didn’t work.
