P1424H, HP Pavilion, no C port recognized
Dell,
I am trying to connect the Dell P1424H portable monitor that I have to the HP Pavilion laptop with Windows 11 iOS with the C to C cable that was supplied. The Dell portable monitor is displaying a message that there is no C port recognized. I then went and bought a HDMI to C connector cable and still nothing. How do I get the portable monitor work? Listed below is my HP pavilion information
Device name LAPTOP-JJ8ECH0C
Processor AMD Ryzen 5 3500U with Radeon Vega Mobile Gfx 2.10 GHz
Installed RAM 8.00 GB (5.92 GB usable)
Product ID 00325-96572-74214-AAOEM
With Windows Home edition
Version 24H2

I do not understand your post.
You state, "HP Pavilion laptop with Windows 11 iOS". "iOS" is an Apple notation?
Then state, "Windows Home edition Version 24H2".
You need to link the HP Pavilion support page showing its specific User's Guide.
"I then went and bought a HDMI to C connector cable and still nothing"
* A PC source HDMI out port cannot UPCONVERT to a monitor USB-C in port. A USB-C to HDMI cable is designed to do the opposite =
PC USB-C --> USB-C to HDMI cable --> Monitor HDMI in port
