G2725D, Xbox Series X, HDMI, Manual Image Adjust not available

Hi there,

I’ve noticed that the image has a bit too many sharpness, and I wanted to decrease it. However I faced a problem where i cannot get into manual image adjust because it’s unavailable(grayed out). So there is a question how to access that menu? I have tried different ways such as downloading drivers for the monitor from the official website, resetting to factory settings, and locking and unlocking OSD. I would like to have a guide or advice to fix this issue. Thank you

I’ve contacted Dell Tech support and here what they told me:

The Manual Image Adjust option is disabled when the computer resolution matches the monitor native resolution (QHD). It is enabled when the computer resolution does not match the monitor native resolution (QHD).

This is working as designed.

The Menu "Manual Image Adjust" option is disabled when the source device (PC, Xbox) resolution matches the G2725D QHD 2560x1440 resolution.

Dell Support must verify the ownership and warranty status. Click the blue "Get Help Now" on the right to start a private live chat session. Share the private monitor Service Tag with them.

Before our users can assist, they need more data from you =
* What specific monitor model?
* What specific PC model?
* What GPU/video card is installed in the PC?
* List all of the available video out ports on the GPU/video card or PC itself
* How is the monitor currently connected to the GPU/video card or PC using which ports and cable?

@DELL-Chris M Model: Dell G2725D. I’m using it with Xbox Series X through HDMI 2.1. I tried to connect it with my laptop with hdmi as well, but there is regular integrated Intel HD Graphics 520.

Go ahead and test the second HDMI in port. Another G2725D user will need to test DP to see if Manual Image Adjust is then available.

@DELL-Chris M Does it work through the DP port? And will it work with HDMI?

Unknown. Which is why I asked that other G2725D users test and post their results.

And yeah, that’s how it works when i put 1080p i can go into manual image adjust, but if i have 1440p i cannot. It’s been designed like that

@UnknownUsername  Thanks, I just had to change my resolution to 1080p in the Nvidia control panel, but I had to select it under the "Ultra HD, HD, SD" tab and not under the "PC" tab.
