G2725D, display not reaching edge of screen

I recently purchased a Dell G2725D monitor and have connected it to my laptop. However, despite choosing recommended resolution, I am seeing a black border all around the edges of the screen. On the top and sides it is about 5mm, on the bottom probably 2mm. I can't find anywhere in the menu of the monitor on on-computer settings that seems to fix this. Suggestions?
