E173FP, 2005, blank
Monitor goes blank almost immediately after switching on. Switching it off, leaving for a few seconds and back on gives the data from the PC sowing but almost immediately goes blank.
Following the suggested checks some years back gives a short flash of white when operating the on/off switch with no power attached. Replacing power and switching on gave the word Genesis for half a second and a blank screen after that.
Switching off and then on again gives the Self Test blocks that disappear almost immediately.
Where would the fault lie and how do I remove the casing - there is no obvious way?

What monitor model? There should be a label on it notating build date and monitor model. Unknown as to what component has failed.

I input serial number and Model number of the Monitor into the I Dell form and both came up as not found. It is old - says made 2005.

@mike533 Probably not worth the bother, suspect the ics won’t permit easy replacement of parts. Replacement already purchased but hate to throw away if repair had been possible, although invariably more expensive than new one if I can’t do it myself.

Based on the current E173FP eBay market value $20 to $35, not worth trying to repair.
