That's actually incorrect. Here's what you do:
Turn monitor off. Then hold down the "menu", "+" and "power" buttons.
Then when the monitor is on, hit the "-" button once. The hidden menu should appear.

Turn off your monitor
Hold onto the "+" and "MENU" buttons at the same time
While holding onto those buttons, turn on the monitor
Release buttons
Press "MENU" button

Since most of the A03 look like simply flash of A00-A02, the Panel is likely the same. Dell has just changed the way the report panel type. Now using a dell code instead of the real panel name. Probably this is their solution to future panel swaps. They figure people can't complain if they don't know what the numbers mean.
Though I have a better solution. Stop swapping panels!!!

I have A02 and A03 monitors side by side and I would swear that both are using the same panel (colors, black level, viewing angles, mouse pink/green trail, etc...).
Add this to the fact that the A03 revision sticker is put over the original sticker.
I agree that Dell is now probably using an internal name.

Hello,
Just registered to forum but have been following issue closely. Short story, purchased this monitor 2 weeks ago. I am still within the return period. I nearly purchased an 844t today. I like this monitor except for the banding and it's too bright. Here is the deal, I am pretty sure I am returning the monitor, those pics of A03 don't look much better and Sammy is pretty much proven. Anyway, here is my question, if I call Dell and set-up an exchange and I get a new A03 and I still don't like it, does my 21 days reset or am I stuck with the monitor? Also, suggestions would be great about what you would do in my situation being that it does look like a03 is out. I am really bothered by banding and brightness issue (have to keep brightness at 5 or less). Your thoughts would be appreciated, I'm leaning towards sending it back and picking up the sammy. Let me know, thanks.|

I believe it won't accept 1080P
No component input
Not as sexy as the 2407
Great price
