2007WFP Compsite quality issue

Hi, i have a slight problem with the image quality through composite from my Wii. Long story short, i have no tv, and the screen takes the signal. So far so good, the Wii is built for composite.. But in the end i end up having very bad image quality and washed out colors. The scaling is done in great fashion, but colors are far from good. My screen looks like this: http://alcoholic.dk/?p=show&id=1980 The same screen on a different monitor looks like this: http://image.com.com/gamespot/images/2006/features/hardware/wiihandson/wiihandson025.jpg I don't get it. My secondary, not-so-good Acer AL1731 produces way better pictures than the Dell. Is there a solution?

Slacker_hik,

Do you have any other device to test on the monitor composite?

I'm having the same problem as the previous poster.
To illustrate I've taken some pictures of the Wii, showing the shopping channel, and an Xbox showing a static image (of a similar scene) connected to a regular CRT TV (hence the scanline 'shadows'). As one can see the images are almost identical in terms of colour reproduction, especially in terms of the white/grey balance.

These next shots show the Wii and Xbox connected to the Dell 2007wfp with the exact same images. The colour reproduction from the xbox is the same as showing on the tv, but when the wii is connected the white level overpowers the rest of the scene leaving the blue lines looking thinner and grey dots especially washed out.

Below are zoomed in images showing the difference in more detail.

Not noticable in the pictures I've taken is the fact that anything coloured in a light grey or blue is almost completely indistinguishable from the white backgournd. Another person has taken much better pictures than mine, which also shows that it is specific to this model and not all Dell products, but clearly shows the flaw in this model.

It seems quite clear that the monitor is failing to correctly reproduce the signal from the Wii. Is there any workaround for this problem?
