VSS diagnostic tools
Hello,
I use to work with EMC backup software, and when we perform Microsoft backups, usually, have problems with VSS snapshots, and have to troubleshoot if the VSS is working fine or not.
What we use to do, is to manually create a diskshadow using the command line. But I am looking something more visual, more easy, some kind of graphical tool to provide to customers which allow them to test VSS integrity by themselves.
Do you know any Microsoft tool that could help me?

Hi Pablo
Your probably familiar with the "VSS Tools and Samples" available on MSDN, but these are not GUI like interfaces.

If you really want to debug, Gui is not an Option.
The only Gui Tool you might want to use is Windows Server backup.
however, to determine what´s wrong, you Need to use diskshadow and vssadmin.
Here is one of my Guides:

That procedure helps me to midentify all issues customers have especially with Hyper-V
