my computer screen is not working

my computer screen is all wonky and it looks like this each time I start my pc its a dell desktop xp home edition and 

 I took the pc part that came with the monitor and I found a wire that was disconnected called p6 here are some images of the wire and system please tell me if I'm on a rabbit trail
