Is max number of MirrorView/CE clusters per VNX a hard limit?
MirrorView CE release notes states as follows:
"Two is the maximum number of MirrorView/CE clusters connected to the same set of CLARiiON/VNX arrays"
Is½ this a hard limit, or is it just the maximum that has been tested?
If it is a hard limit, can somebody explain the reason for this limit?
Thanks

As far as I know, the limit is the same as MV limits.

Not according to the release notes (See attached) which clearly states:
"Two is the maximum number of MirrorView/CE clusters connected to the same set of CLARiiON/VNX arrays"
MirrorView limts are:
128, 256, 512, 1024 respectively
so even the smallest VNX system should be able to support a large number of clusters.

So, I'm wondering "why".
MV/CE does not make any significant change to MV itself. I'll try to get a justification from engineering.
Meanwhile If you need a higher number you may get an exception approval for that (RPQ)
